Durable and ToughThe aircraft body is manufactured from ABS composite materials that make it extremely durable, flexible, tough and corrosion resistant. It can withstand serious impacts and accidents without any damage to itself, property or people. Because it is lightweight, you can fly indoors without worrying about crashing into walls or furniture.
Safety FeaturesWith the rotor guards installed, combined with the lightweight aircraft body and flexible rotor blades, the H31 is safe for children to fly. It is harmless when you fly into an object or person. Obviously, care should be taken. Always ensure the protective rotor guards are not damaged, properly installed and attached. Never deliberately fly the quadcopter into a person or animal!
Reinforced Rotor BladesThe rotor blades are nylon reinforced, which makes the blades extremely tough and flexible. Not only does this provides excellent flying performance but added safety and durability too. The lightweight rotor design makes it quiet with minimum rotor wash.
Water ResistantUsually, drones and water do not mix without damage to the aircraft. Water almost always wins! This is not the case with the H31. It is water resistant when dropped into a pool of H2O, it takes a simple shake and you good to go again. The design ensures that all electronics are protected and can withstand a good soaking. Do not deliberately soak or dunk the quadcopter in water.
Always remove the H31 as soon as possible from water and shake it off well.
If it lands in water, cut the power throttle down to minimise the risk of damage to electronics.
Due to the corrosive nature of salt water, always rinse the H31 off with fresh water after a session at the beach.
Flight and Remote Control
Remote ControlOperating at 2.4GHz, the remote control provides accurate and precise control while minimising interference within a range of 200 m. Besides the regular stick controls, it has 6 dedicated button functions assigned to special flight modes and functions. It operates on 4 regular AA batteries.
Speed SelectionFull Speed / 50% Speed
360° Flip/Stunt ModeEnables 360° flip/stunt mode - when enabled, the next right stick input will perform a flip in the direction of the stick input, forward, back, left or right.
Headless ModeHeadless Mode enables you to turn/yaw the aircraft in any direction without changing the orientation. For example, the forward stick will always fly forward or away from you, regardless if the aircraft is pointing towards you or not. Left/right stick will always fly left/right. In other words, the aircraft's orientation is always relative to the pilot's view and not the aircraft's orientation as with regular drone flights.
Return HomeThis function will automatically fly the H31 back to the take-off position. This is useful in case you need to return the drone in the case of an emergency or loss of orientation. Please note: the drone needs to be high enough to clear any obstacles like trees or buildings.

Installing the Rotor GuardsThe rotor guards are attached to the underside of each rotor arm. Align the rotor cover and screw holes over the underside of the rotor and rotor gear. Ensure that it is properly seated before fixing it in place with 2 short screws.
Installing the Landing GearThe landing gear is attached to the underside of the main aircraft body. Align the landing gear mounting posts with the mounting holes and push it in firmly on both sides. Using the longer screws, fix the landing gear to the aircraft.

Installing the Battery
To install the battery, open the battery compartment door. Push a fully charged battery completely into the battery compartment. Connect the battery cable and fold the cable and connector as deep as possible into the compartment. Ensure that the compartment door is closed and latched properly. Regularly check the door hinge pin. It sometimes tends to slide out.
Recalibrating the Gyroscope
It is not often required, but under certain conditions, you might have to recalibrate the gyroscope. The gyroscope is used by the flight control system to determine the orientation of the quadcopter. If you find that the H31 keeps flipping over on take-off, you might need to recalibrate the gyroscope. You can confirm this by holding the H31 by the landing gear, level and upside up. When you slowly apply throttle up (left stick forward), only 2 or 3 rotors will spin. This is a mechanism that the H31 use to attempt to flip it over if it lands upside down. In this case, the H31 "thinks" it is upside down. Turning it upside down, while applying throttle up, all four rotors will start spinning as normal. It now "thinks" it is orientated upside up. Depending on how the gyroscope got miscalibrated, it can be at different angles. To fix the calibration:
- Place the H31 on a level surface and powered on
- Power on the remote control and push/pull the left stick forward and backwards to ensure the remote and aircraft are linked
- Pull the left and right control sticks to the bottom and right. The remote controller will beep and the nose light on the quadcopter will blink.
- You are done and the gyroscope is calibrated. Confirm by repeating the handheld test.
